What is a digital Taharah calendar?
A digital Taharah calendar brings dates, Taharah stages, Onot Perishah and reminders together, reducing the need to maintain separate manual calculations and lists
What does the calendar manage?
A Taharah calendar is based on facts entered by the user and dates derived from those facts According to the information provided and the supported Minhag profile selected, it can display Taharah stages, Hefsek Taharah, Shivah Nekiyim, Leil Tevilah, Onah Beinonit, Veset Hachodesh, Haflagot and other supported Onot Perishah
Why is a civil date not enough?
Many calculations depend on the Hebrew date and Halachic Onah Daytime and nighttime Onot are defined in relation to sunrise and sunset, so location and time zone can be relevant to the calculation
What does TaharaSmart add?
Date, time and location determine the onah Missing input is shown as an input error A stored event that cannot be resolved must be corrected before the calendar updates; a failed calculation is not an empty calendar
Does a digital calendar replace Halachic guidance?
No. It reduces the technical work of recording, calculating and remembering Individual Halachic questions, exceptional situations or uncertainty should be discussed with a Rav or Halachic authority
