Halachic calculations, calendar limitations and error reporting
The service does not collect payment cards or perform active commercial billing Consent to data processing is not consent to a charge
Contents
1. What the calendar does
TaharaSmart helps organise information and calculate a family Taharah calendar using events, Minhag, location and settings entered and supported by the system The calendar is an assistance tool only, not a Rav or halachic authority, a medical service or a personal halachic approval
2. Errors are possible even with correct input
A calculation or display may be incorrect because of a defect in the software, an implemented rule, the date, time, classification, translation or information entered A reminder may not arrive or may arrive late Even correct input does not guarantee an error-free result
The user is responsible for checking the accuracy of events and settings, reasonably verifying that results suit their circumstances and the halachic instructions they received, and not relying exclusively on the system Where there is insufficient certainty, consult a Rav or halachic authority before acting on a calculation This responsibility does not relieve the operator of duties of care, proper operation and correction of defects imposed by law
3. Dates and statuses do not confirm that actions were performed
A label such as “Mikvah”, “Leil Tevilah”, “Tehorah” or completion of a count does not establish that required Bedikot or an actual Tevilah took place, were valid, or satisfied all halachic conditions The system cannot verify an action it did not perform and does not determine personal permission solely because time has passed
Recording a result, personal instruction or manual adjustment reflects information supplied to the system It does not replace obtaining the instruction and does not mean the website team approved it
4. When clarification is needed
Seek clarification when a label requires a manual decision; information is missing or contradictory; a significant change of Minhag or location occurs; a personal circumstance is not calculated automatically; or a result differs from personal instructions The absence of a result or message, or the ability to save a field, does not establish that a valid automatic determination exists
The system does not claim to support every Minhag, established pattern or life circumstance Pregnancy, the postpartum period, pregnancy loss or a hormonal condition do not receive an automatic determination simply because they were saved in settings Relevant personal instructions take precedence over use of a general result
5. How to report a suspected error
Open “Feedback” in the application and describe the screen, calculation type, displayed result and discrepancy, or contact yahalomdigitalsystems@gmail.com Provide only information necessary for investigation and avoid another person's details, card numbers or unnecessary intimate details Reporting an issue does not require sending your entire calendar history
The report will be assessed according to its nature, severity and impact on the service, in accordance with section 5 of the Terms of Use No particular response or correction deadline is promised, without limiting any legal duty to address a defect or provide a remedy
The support team investigates technical matters; its response is not a halachic ruling Do not wait for feedback handling when a halachic decision is needed urgently In that case, consult an appropriate halachic authority in parallel and use an independent means of checking
6. Preservation of rights
This notice supplements the Terms of Use It does not exclude any right or liability that the law does not permit to be excluded, limited or varied by agreement
