Data rights and account deletion
Current service status: paid subscriptions, billing, trial activation, referral credits and Email/SMS delivery are not yet active. The provisions about them apply when those services are offered and activated; they do not authorise a purchase or charge. Your statutory rights remain protected.

1. One contact for data requests
You can request access and a copy, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or another applicable right by email to contact@taharasmart.com. Account deletion is also available through the website’s data rights centre. The operator is יהלום זקס.
Submitting a request does not require a paid subscription. You may contact us after a trial ends or a subscription is suspended or cancelled, without creating a new account. Where signing into an existing account is required for a sensitive action, an alternative contact method will be offered to anyone unable to sign in.
2. Identifying the requester and handling the request
We will ask for sufficient information to identify the account and the right being exercised and verify identity reasonably and proportionately. We will not request calendar content or an identity-document photograph if a less intrusive means can achieve the purpose. An authorised representative may be required to provide appropriate proof of authority.
We will acknowledge receipt and act without undue delay within legally required deadlines. Requests under the GDPR or UK GDPR will generally receive a response within one month, with an extension only where permitted and with appropriate notice. A shorter or stricter local requirement prevails. If we cannot fulfil the request in full, we will explain why and the applicable complaint or appeal options.
3. Access, copies and correction
You may request access to information held about you and correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or outdated. You can correct events and settings in your account, subject to the system's available functions, or contact us. Correcting information may change calculations based on it.
Where a right to a copy or portability applies, we will provide the information in an appropriate, commonly used format, subject to others' rights, information security and the law. The request does not itself entitle you to source code, trade secrets or another person's information. This does not restrict information that must be provided to exercise the right.
4. Withdrawal of consent and restriction of processing
You can separately disable reminders or optional processing in settings and contact us to withdraw consent to sensitive data processing. Withdrawal of consent to core calendar processing will end processing based on that consent, but may prevent further calculations. We will not process information for the calendar merely because a prepaid period remains.
Requests to restrict processing, object or prevent deletion for legal proceedings will be assessed under the relevant right. Withdrawal does not retrospectively invalidate earlier lawful processing or preclude limited retention required or permitted by law on an appropriate independent basis.
5. Subscription cancellation versus account deletion
Cancelling renewal preserves access until the date you selected, without another renewal charge. Early subscription termination ends the service according to your request and the law. Neither action automatically deletes information.
Account deletion is intended to close the account and delete personal information that is not required or permitted to be retained for a defined legal purpose. Upon receipt of a valid account-deletion request, we will stop future charges and assess any refund due under the Cancellation Policy and the law. An active charge must not remain solely because technical deletion is still in progress. Deletion does not waive a refund or legal claim.
6. What is deleted and what may be retained
Deletion includes calendar data, events, notes, halachic history, settings, adjustments, account-related location details and identifiers no longer needed. Calculated results and relevant account caches will be removed or invalidated according to the system architecture.
Financial records, tax documents, consent or cancellation evidence and information specifically needed to protect a legal right may be retained where there is a valid basis and for the necessary period. Where possible, these records will be separated from sensitive content, access will be restricted, and they will not be used to continue operating the calendar or for marketing.
Backups will be handled under the Privacy Policy and legal deadlines. They will not be used for routine restoration of a deleted account; if system restoration is necessary, the deletion request will be reapplied. We will also give appropriate instructions to providers holding information on our behalf, in accordance with their responsibilities and the law.
7. Before confirming deletion
Deletion may be irreversible. You may request a copy first, but deletion will not be conditional on ordering a copy or paying a fee. Deleting the account does not delete your Google account, messages already delivered to your email inbox or phone, or a copy you saved yourself on a device.
Referral balances are not money. Before closing an account, the consequences for using its balance will be shown, with an option to cancel only the subscription and retain the account and balance if that is your intention. This does not diminish the right to deletion or justify undue delay.
8. Complaints and appeals
You may also contact contact@taharasmart.com to request reconsideration. Special appeal rights in Washington and Nevada are described in their dedicated policies. You may contact Israel's Privacy Protection Authority or another competent authority under applicable law, and need not waive external recourse to obtain our assistance.
